One of the main characters for our group film this year, designed by one of my classmates. I really wanted to have a go at making a maquette, especially of a character that was not my own.

This was a four and a half day sculpt, made with super sculpey firm.
I had to keep doing surgery to bulk up the armature more and more since I have never created a character this bulky before. YEAH LEARNING THINGS.

Geebus, seriously HOW DO YOU SCULPT.
These two are lovely. And it looks great to see you sculpting characters that are so different from your norm.
Still on my list to commission you some day when we're not boggled down with work.

This is beautiful O.O I have to know, do you use a wire frame as a skeleton or just make it from scratch?

Why thank-you! I build an armature from wire and bulk it up with aluminium foil and tape so I can get the most out of my sculpey~
